The market, as the name suggests, is a place where people can sell their various items, such as ddays, echarges, weapons, websites, and dpoints. The market is the primary place where commerce in CW takes place, alongside the chat.
Due to the nature of the market, prices rise and fall constantly, so it's difficult to maintain a constant selling/buying price. In addition, because of the sheer amount of people trading on the market, it's extremely difficult to sway the prices in your favor.
The Market is an excellent place to purchase items that you may have difficulty finding elsewhere, like in the Hardware Shop, the [[Software Shop],] or from Gangs. Various items are for sale at different prices. However, on occasion good bargains can be had here, along with the opportunity for small profits to supplement your income.
Recently, a listing fee and tax have been added to the market to control rates and the general economy of CW.
A tax has been implemented in the market. The tax amount is 0.1% of the total selling price for a 2 hour posting, 0.2% fee for an 8 hour posting and a 0.5% tax for a 24 hour posting.
Example: 100 energy charges listed for 8 hours at a selling price of 5,000,000 CD each results in a total purchase/sale price of 500,000,000 CD. 500,000,000 CD x 0.2% = 1,000,000 CD
Thus in order to post the offer for up to 8 hours on the market, there is a 1,000,000 CD non-refundable listing fee.
